He’s not a rapper, influencer, ball player, or actor, and he loves working in the shadows anyway. The shadows of life are what made him everything he is. He’s the Creative Director behind the scenes of pop culture and the 34-year-old bipolar antihero is hitting a stride, minutes away from “having the moment.”</p>
<p>Since 2017, A.X has been one of the go-to creative minds in music, streetwear fashion &amp; young luxury and has amassed a client roster that ranges from <b>Def Jam</b> to <b>PUMA</b>, umpteen fashion brands, to the <b>NBA</b> &amp; <b>EA Sports</b>.</p>
<p>His trademark “surrealist punk trap” pop art style has become a staple in 2021-22’s hypebeast centric-convergence culture, a firm nod and credit to his influence. Even iconic global footwear giant Clarks <a href="https://joeyax.com/blogs/journal-1/thievery-corp-clarks-originals-jacked-everything-from-me-open-letter">knocked off</a> his work to a tee.</p>
<p>Sometimes the shadows don’t last forever. He is starting to become less and less of a secret.</p>
<p>For the past several months, A.X has evolved the concept of what social media platform Instagram can even be by using it as the canvas for his gorgeous, darkly surreal and social commentary heavy gallery. There’s nothing like it anywhere online. So far he’s done 3 full galleries and there&#8217;s a fourth this July en route entitled “Freakshow.” which is inspired by Coney Island’s seedy history &amp; mysticism, something the CT &amp; NY native knows well.</p>
<p>“Simply put, Joey A.X is a rebel genius,” said the Global Head Of Content at Ad agency giant <b>WaveMaker Global</b> in 2021. He’s been compared to Hunter S. Thompson, Federico Fellani and David LaChapelle by art and scene kid zines and publications. He’s the darling of everything anti and he loves it that way.</p>

<p><b>Puma’s</b> Head of Collabs, streetwear’s Andy Warhol <b>Mathhew Growney</b> went a step further stating “Joey has always demonstrated a very futuristic level of creativity. He sees trends ahead and blends timeless cues with at times shocking editorial. There is an almost sinister-like perspective that he takes when designing visuals for products or talent. It’s not a macabre sort of thing, but more of an intellectual invasion. And it always works.&#8221;</p>
<p>The galleries reflect the influence of all three at once. It’s a mood, a vibe, an energy. Conscious attention to double meanings and wit in a surreal world where OJ Simpson, Andy Warhol &amp; Benny The Butcher all coexist in a LaChappell like set.</p>
<p>Joey A.X began these IG Gallery shows shortly after hosting <b>NBA All-Star</b> week for <b>300 Records &amp; Def Jam</b>, a close friend and client of his. He is part sarcastic Ryan Reynolds and part waxing poetic Russel Brand, a combo that made him ideal host material for a lot of the media slate for All-Star Week that needed <i>that</i> personality. “I guess it brought me out of my shell, or my shadows so to speak.” He reflects.</p>
<p>A.X has a full slate in 2022, having just launched his app five.me of which he was a founding member and creative mind of, his special projects with multiple fashion brands in the states and abroad, and his art direction for some of Def Jam’s biggest name acts &amp; albums.</p>

For most people, their ideas are tucked away somewhere at the back of their brains. Others have gone as far as to scribble their ideas on a napkin, but they’ve never taken steps to make them a reality. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Johnny Serian is the founder and owner of a marketing agency known as Digital Diver 360. He is a versatile entrepreneur as he managed to turn an idea into a successful six-figure business. We talked to Serian to learn about his journey of turning an idea into an empire. </span></p>
<h3><b>Starting Out </b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian was a competitive person from an early age. He always wanted to get better. Through rigorous piano lessons as a kid combined with daily track and field workouts from middle school to college, he built resilience and proved to himself that he could accomplish anything.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian’s passion for marketing grew as he worked for other companies through marketing school. After working for several companies, he left the corporate world and ventured into restaurants in need of social media presence. He was startled to discover that almost every single restaurant needed help with its social media presence. They had no social following, no website traffic, and no posting. This experience sparked an idea, and he chose to venture into marketing. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian started his marketing agency to meet the need for such in the market. However, he points out that although companies realize the importance of having an online social presence, most of them are willing to pay someone else to do the work for them. </span></p>
<h3><b>Turning An Idea into an Empire </b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Currently, Serian has managed to turn his business into one of New Jersey’s fastest-growing Marketing Agencies while being named the #1 content creation team in the Tri-State area by Disrupt Magazine. He has quickly built a reputation as a thought-leader in the space of marketing. He took a seed that is an idea and watered it into a tree that’s now a fully operational marketing agency. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian has worked with dozens of clients, from small to large companies. Some of the leading companies he has worked with include Lithia, Paul Miller, Prestige, and Ray Catena. Furthermore, he has managed to build a team of wizards from around the globe who work together to take businesses to the next level. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian has generated over </span><b>$11,565,000</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> in ad revenue. He revamped an online Brand and generated over </span><b>$85k</b><span style="font-weight: 400"> in new sales in the second month. He also increased food &amp; beverage services monthly sales by 205% to $300k, plus so much more. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian points out that most people give up on their idea because they give up during the process. Everyone wants to win the prize and get the title of ‘champion,’ but no one is willing to go through the process. Yet, for your idea to become a reality, you must work for it. You need to put in the effort and refuse to give up. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Challenges are inevitable in the path to success. Furthermore, the process is highly personal and can be financially or emotionally daunting. What sets you apart from other people who have ideas is consistency. Aim to create the best version of yourself and realize that the only competition is yourself. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Serian saw a need for social media marketing for businesses and started his venture to help as many businesses as possible. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">But as the saying goes, “it’s not how hard you work but how smart you work on the right things.” And sometimes, figuring out the right things requires some mentorship or coaching from an expert. You need someone who’s been through the journey of entrepreneurship and has mastered simple and profitable ways to scale a business. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">These three steps are the keys to a simplified and profitable business. </span></p>
<p><b><i>#1. Defining Your Company&#8217;s Queen Bee Role:</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400"> The best analogy to explain the queen bee role is to look at the actual queen bee in the bee colony. The queen bee in the colony only serves the purpose of laying eggs or procreation. This task is detrimental to the survival of the colony. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The queen bee concept requires you to delegate most of your tasks to remain with the one crucial task that&#8217;s important for the survival of your firm. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">How do you determine your queen bee role? You determine it by listing down all the tasks that you do in your business. If you have written ten tasks, then delegate 9 of the tasks to remain with the one task you love doing and are good at. Personal QB is different from a company QB. In the former, you consider what you do with your time and free up space. The &#8216;queen bee&#8217; role requires you to develop a proper work and life balance in which you spend 80% of your time on tasks that are crucial to you. </span></p>
<p><b><i>#2. Identify the needle movers in your business / the time sucks: </i></b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">A needle mover refers to those tasks that will significantly boost your enterprise. This strategy is crucial for a simplified and profitable business as it requires you to identify the most valuable activities you can take to grow your enterprise. These are activities that are proven, actionable, and convert to high ROI. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Needle movers are different from time sucks activities. The latter is self-explanatory as it refers to activities that take up too much of your time and lead to little benefit. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to George Bryant &#8220;When we look at all the most successful things in our life… they all come from simplicity. We find a problem; We create a simple solution for that problem. Someone can commit because it&#8217;s simple, and they solve that problem; then, they go market our solution for us.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">You define the needle movers from the time-suck activities by timing yourself while you work using a 4D matrix approach. This is a strategy in which you note down the actions that you have undertaken so far and the results of those actions. This approach is slightly different from goals because it calls you to break down the results and convert them into actions. </span></p>
<p><b><i>#3. DDD (decide, delegate, delete) </i></b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Decide to delegate tasks to other members of the team so that you can free yourself from obstacles. This decision is often a challenge as most of us treat our business like our child. As such, we feel the urge to handle everything and assign the tasks we feel are minor to the other team members. But this decision makes it hard for more entrepreneurs to turn their business into a profitable venture. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">You should decide which tasks to keep, delegate, or delete and you do this by purposely making a plan that maps out the roles and tasks that you will delegate to your team. You put this plan in your schedule, and you do it. Ideally, you can use Free Up/Fancy Hands to get assistants who will work on other tasks as you protect your queen bee position. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Get yourself out of the doing in your business by identifying your queen bee position. Don&#8217;t be reactive but rather, assess, document, DDD, and prioritize quality assurance. In every way, do your best to simplify, simplify, and simplify strategically.</span></p>
