DSM Fitness owner has been making waves in the personal training industry for over 30 years. From helping rock stars get in shape for European tours to contributing to Men’s Fitness and IDEA Fitness Journal, he has had a diverse and exciting career. His passion for fitness started when he discovered a barbell set in his grandfather’s basement as an overweight, unathletic child. Today, he runs a successful online personal training business that reaches clients all over the world.
After five years as a fitness instructor at various health clubs during college, the owner went on to compete in local bodybuilding competitions and fitness modeling. However, he found his true passion in personal training. After working for various health clubs and personal training companies, he decided to launch DSM Fitness in 1999. He believed that a customized, functional, challenging, and yet personal approach to training would yield better results. Today, he still follows that philosophy and takes pride in helping clients reach their fitness goals and changing their lives.
One of the things that set DSM Fitness apart is the owner’s good rapport and communication with his clients. He takes the time to listen to his clients, find out what they want and need, and explain the program and exercises to them. His goal is to motivate and inspire his clients, while taking the time to get to know them. He also has a great sense of humor, which goes a long way in building customer loyalty.
The owner is most proud of the work he has done with clients who are in pain or have injuries. He finds it rewarding to help clients eliminate pain and correct muscle imbalances that can lead to injury. He also enjoys training older clients, as he knows the struggles and health issues they face as they age. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of his role model, fitness pioneer Jack LaLanne, and work out until the day he dies. Despite the challenges of the industry, the owner is not done yet, and he hopes to continue helping clients for many years to come.
