How It Started

Oftentimes, the best things in life can be things we stumble across without really looking for them. This is a perfect way to describe Kyle Eaton, and the successful PR & Social Media Agency that he has built.

When asked how he got into the Influencer Marketing and Social Media world, Kyle says, “It was a total accident. In 2016 I was selling life and health insurance, and trying to use my Instagram account to promote my insurance business. After a few months, I realized I was good at growing Instagram accounts, and using social media in general as a promotional tool. So, I started doing it for some friends and family, and eventually that led to starting my own side hustle, which turned into a full blown business and allowed me to go full time as an entrepreneur.”

Making Moves

When Kyle started this journey in 2016, he was living in Bowling Green, KY. When he realized he had basically exhausted the market there, he decided to make a change.

“In the fall of 2017, I moved to Nashville,” Kyle says. “I knew I needed to be somewhere with more opportunity, and in a place with fresh faces, new experiences and perspectives, and a city where people frequently move to pursue their dreams in music, as well as other types of entertainment.”

Upon moving to Nashville, Kyle’s business almost immediately doubled, and then tripled soon after.

Growing Pains

As with anything, there will always be some sort of struggle. It’s always interesting to ask someone what they’d do differently or what lessons they learned along the way.

When asked about this, Kyle says “I’m not sure I’d say I’d do anything differently. I definitely think the lessons I’ve learned in business and life the last 5 years have been more valuable because I made mistakes, than they’d have ever been had everything gone perfectly and as planned. Actually, I’d say you can’t even learn a lesson from anything if you don’t make any mistakes. The number one thing I might do a little less of, would be listen to other people on how I should run my business or what choices were best for me. Other than that, I love where I’m at.”

What’s Next?

In conclusion, it’s fair to say that every true entrepreneur has some very lofty goals. Kyle is no different. When asked what’s next or what his future plans are, Kyle says the next thing on his mind is helping and giving back, and then after that, he’s got a list somewhere of things like “own a sports franchise.”

“The cool thing is, once you see that you can build something from scratch, then you realize what is possible. I’ve been extremely blessed by God to be able to do that already, and now everything I start working on or building is just fun. If it stops being fun or I realize I don’t like it, I walk away from it. So now what I want to do is build things that have a shared cause and purpose in my community, or within certain demographics that need the most help or assistance. That wouldn’t be possible without the blessings God has put in my life, and I’m thankful for it daily,” Kyle says.
