With artists such as 42 dugg and Sada Baby making the transition into mainstream music, Detroit has been showcasing some amazing talent. Popular artist Eddy Mack keeps the spotlight on the wonderful city and its music scene with his latest accomplishments… Eddy Mack recently surpassed one-million streams on both Spotify and Apple Music and was awarded two new plaques because of it! Eddy had this to say about the amazing experience
“It was emotional, especially because I made this album in the corner of a room by myself with just a laptop and mic.
This process has to be hard and challenging for Eddy Mack as it is for many independent artists, but he has found a way to surpass any and all expectations that were set for him and his career. Being such a driven and dedicated artist is amazing but Eddy Mack definitely knows how important his team is and how they have helped Eddy Succeed. He had this to say when asked about the people around him that have insipid Eddy the most:
“Definitely say my manager rock sayge. He found me in Detroit when I had nothing. But he believed in my music and plucked me out of Detroit into LA. Also, my good friend and producer Gflow. Also give a lot of thanks to my friend Fatboy SSE for how much he has looked out and the plans he has in the future.”
Eddy Mack has accomplished many great things so far in his amazing career. From being in the seat as songwriter to being in the seat as engineer, Eddy Mack has remained focused on his career. While recently surpassing one million streams, Eddy has a song with Fatboy SSE and Tohi soon to be released next month.
Maintaining focus can sometimes be challenging for many independent artists especially when fame and money start to come into play, we asked Eddy about his take on the topic and this is what he had to say…
“I never let the fame or glamour, or material things lead me. I let the music and the passion I have for it lead me. Everything else followed.”
