Meet Michael Pellegrino, a passionate storyteller with a knack for packaging greatness. Currently, he’s the exclusive packaging agent for the feature film titled Mr. Irrelevant. This is a film written by Steve Alten who is the writer of the current Box office block buster hit, Meg 2: The Trench which is currently in theaters. With a proven track record of delivering box office hits, Michael Pellegrino is committed to ensuring that “Mr. Irrelevant” and all of the projects he’s involved with receives the attention it deserves. As an expert in his field, he crafts strategies that elevate film/tv projects to new heights.
We’re so excited to learn all about your current career endeavors as an exclusive film packaging agent. What can you tell us about Mr. Irrelevant?
Michael: Mr. Irrelevant is an inspiring tale of perseverance and unexpected second chances, Mr. Irrelevant follows the story of a 21-year-old college quarterback after the loss of his father which leads him to bomb the tryouts on Pro Scout Day. But when an NFL head coach accidentally sees his potential, the young man gets the opportunity of a lifetime to make his late father proud and go from Mr. Irrelevant to starting quarterback.
The film is being produced by David Rubinstein and Ken Atchity and is being Executive produced by Hollywood Legend Nicole Ehrlich. Nicole is a multi Grammy winner, Emmy winner and MTV VMA award recipient. She has worked with music Icon Lady Gaga, Blink 182, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, the late great Tony Bennett and many more. It’s such an honor to be working with this incredible woman but its even more of an honor to call her a friend and to be representing her.
We understand you’re involved with a script that had the late great John Candy attached. How did this come about?
Michael: I am so proud of being attached to is a film written by the late great John Candy, Called Our Father. It’s the very last script that John Candy ever wrote. My dear friend Mark Koch brought the script years ago and has been trying ever since to get this film made. Mark Koch is the producer of such great films like Lost in Space. I am in the process of becoming a partner in the script in hopes of producing this incredible film with Mark Koch and directed by one of Hollywood’s most intense hands on talented directors Mark Neveldine. I have known Mark Koch for over 35 years and to have a chance to work with him again is just incredible!
In addition to films, you’re also involved with Television. What exclusive news you can share with us to be on the lookout for?
Michael: Yes! I am currently working on is an incredible amination TV series titled Tech City. I was given the opportunity to help finish developing and packaging this incredible concept which has the legendary ICE-T involved as well. A while back Ice called me and asked if I would be interested in getting involved with him and a bad ass animator who goes by the name Tommy The Animator. I, of course, said yes immediately. A few days later I flew Tommy into Chicago to meet me and my production team. Ice wasn’t sure if the meeting was going to happen because Tommy had never been on a airplane before but I convinced Tommy to get on the airplane and come meet me. I think Ice was totally surprised but extremely happy that we had a chance to meet in-person. It was a great meeting and now we’re going forward with the show.
Tech City has some of the greatest stars in the world attached to the show. It literally stars ICE-T, Treach, Mike Epps, Tracy Morgan, Coco Austin (ICE-T’s wife) Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Arabian Prince. The music is being composed by the legendary Dr. Dre. This is definitely a going to be an amazing show and I am once again thankful for Ice bringing me this incredible opportunity. There is even a strong chance that this could possibly turn into a feature film instead of a weekly show. Stay tuned for the update.
Animation is huge right now as well as children’s programming. We are thrilled to learn about FuzzBunz. Please tell us all about it.
Michael: FuzzBunz is a children’s animation show for the age group between 2 to 7 years old. It’s a show that features the most incredible characters called the FuzzBunz who possess magical powers. The FuzzBunz are characters that instill a positive message to children. The show inspires children to eat healthy and at the same time each episode is dedicated to teaching a life lesson in a positive way. It does so by still being extremely entertaining. Each episode has an original song that not only is fun and entertaining but the lyrics have a hidden positive message in each song. I have recently been working on developing a game app for the FuzzBunz that will be launching very soon. I am extremely proud of this show and all the concepts that will be attached to this show. The FuzzBunz will have interaction gaming, merchandising such as toys, Action figures, Clothing and we are getting ready to start discussions with the company build a bear so children can go into the store and build their favorite FuzzBunz. This is definitely a wonderful project that I am so proud of.
What can you share about all things regarding The Authors World.
Michael: I have spent years developing TheAuthorsWorld.Com and The Authors World Podcast. The Authors World is literally my baby. The Authors World will definitely revolutionize the literary world. It has been a long journey developing our concept but it has been worth the wait. As the world has changed dramatically we have taken the time to take those changes and adapt them into our platform. We have evolved into an even more highly sophisticated media platform for the literary industry. Soon we will be launching our weekly podcast called The Authors World Podcast which will feature authors from all over the world. Plus we’ve been developing our children’s division which we are extremely excited about. The Authors World will be unveiling some of the most exciting concepts to ever be introduced to the literary community.
What else would you like our readers to know about you and the amazing work you’re up to as of late?
Michael: Over the last several years daytime television has lost some great shows and I have felt that there is a strong need for something that will change the landscape of daytime television. We need new and exciting concepts that will give the viewers something that will really capture the attention of people. Something to fill the void of the loss of shows like Ellen and Oprah. Not long ago it hit me that what we need is personalities that the viewers will embrace and that person is the legendary female Iron chef Cat Cora. Cat is one of the most incredible women I have ever had a pleasure to be friends with. She has such a wonderful spirit and she has lived life in a way that will connect to the viewers. Cat Cora is not just an incredible world renown chef but she is a humanitarian and she is a woman who has experience pain in her life. Cat also holds a degree in health and wellness. Cat is a person with a big heart and in my opinion I think that is what’s missing from daytime television. We need a personality that will be a champion for the people. That’s why I have been developing a show with Nicole Ehrlich called Coffee with Cat. It would be a great morning show to start the day with. In today’s world we need positive energy and we need a voice that speaks for the everyday people in the world. That person is CAT CORA( Coffee with Cat!)
A Note From Michael:
The show that I am currently packaging is called ESQUIRE a dark and gritty drama about a family lawfirm. I fell in love with this script the moment I read it. It’s created by my dear friend Paul Eckstein who just recently passed away. The show is written by two of my clients David Waite and Brad C Hodson. Paul Eckstein gave us some of the greatest TV shows of our time. Paul was the creator, writer and producer of the hit TV show The Godfather of Harlem on HBO MAX starring the talented Forest Whitaker. Paul also gave us the Netflix drama series Narcos. I am completely dedicated to getting this show packaged in honor of Paul Eckstein. David Waite and Brad C Hodson have done an incredible job writing this show and its always an awesome journey working with David and Brad. I will be packaging this series with my incredible packaging partners Sherry D’Agostino and Nicole Ehrlich. It looks like Nicole Ehrlich and Sherry D’Agostino will also be Executive producers on the show with David and Brad.
