Reina is an independent R&B artist from Los Angeles, CA who is on her way to making a name for herself. She just released her latest single, “At Midnight,” a song about a lady who is all about her career and works hard, but still makes room for love on her own terms.
Gary Catona and Seth Riggs, among others, taught the independent singer how to sing at an early age, which helped mold her voice and put her in the position she is in now. She’s worked with musicians like Nipsey Hussle, Yella Beezy, her grandfather Verdine White, My Guy Mars, and others up to this point in her career.
Reina, an African-American Latina woman of mixed ethnicity, has a voice that may be characterized as harmonic, silky, and passionate. Artistry, she says, is a never-ending learning process that she’s been studying since she was a child.
“This is my love,” Reina said. “I created this song over the course of eight months. One day I was working with producer Asher and he just showed me this beat and we started writing to it. I immediately envisioned the vibe I wanted for this and it was inspired by the idea of a hard working woman who was in love but had the power and discipline to be about her business and not get distracted.”
Reina has demonstrated an extraordinary work ethic since she began singing in nightclubs at the age of seventeen, exhibiting how her passion for music is unparalleled and her desire to establish herself has shone. Since then, she’s been “hustling.” Her grandpa Verdine White is a member of the renowned ensemble Earth, Wind & Fire, thus she hails from a musical background. Reina is someone to keep an eye on as she progresses in the profession, with music flowing in her family and an evident gift for singing.
Reina has established herself sonically by collaborating with some of the finest musicians from different generations.
Reina explained, “I grew up in three distinct cultures, which I am able to portray musically.” “Etta James, Earth, Wind & Fire, Celia Cruz, Carlos Vives, Oscar Brown Jr., and Vincent Fernandez were among the artists I grew up listening to […] My music is influenced by my African-American, Latina, and, of course, West Coast upbringings.”
Reina is steadily establishing a successful career, as seen by the release of her current single, “At Midnight,” which highlights her poetry in a way that audiences love. The singer explains that because she is a boss woman who works hard, she must put her relationship on hold, which her guy must be comfortable with because she is and will always be about her business.
