Question: How does having your own family help you prepare to help other families in need of your services?

Answer: I once had a professor who said that you don’t really understand how to help families until you have kids of your own. This didn’t initially resonate with me until I actually started my own family. The beauty about ABA is that you can easily integrate it into your every day life with your own children. Having children of my own has helped to allow me to better understand family dynamics and has allowed me to have more empathy with struggling parents.

Question: What would be your message to the world about therapy services?

Answer: My message would be to start services as early as possible. Research has shown that the earlier children begin services, the much better chance they have to function independently and learn the necessary skills needed to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Question: What is a big misconception about your career field?

Answer: A big misconception about ABA is that we simply “get rid of unwanted behaviors”. While that is important, it is impossible to decrease inappropriate behavior without increasing more appropriate skills. When implemented correctly, ABA is able to help give children many new skills that you currently don’t have in their repertoire.

Question: what are a few key points you would say to some one researching therapy and why you think it really could help them?

Answer: I would highly suggest that you reach out to several local companies providing the services that your child needs. The fit has to be right. Speak with the people running those companies to make sure that your values align. This is an important decision for a family and your child will be spending a lot of time with the staff members on his team. Unfortunately, there are companies in this field that are concerned more about billable hours and money than they are about the progress of their children. Question: what are your favorite hobbies?

Answer: I love spending time with my family. I have a beautiful fiancée, Jackie who I met in college. We have a 9 year old son and a 2 year old daughter, who I spent most of my time with outside of work. When I do get the chance to do something on my own, I enjoy golfing and watching football (Go Dolphins!).

No one could ever imagine that from the seat of an old beat-up car could sprout a lifetime idea that would change lives. By then, Michael had battled a yearlong depression that affected his emotional life and financial health.

The next thing that befell him was that he was evicted from his apartment, and there he was, sleeping in his car amid the cold winter. Out of this experience, Michael made an ultimate decision that would change his life forever. His next move was to begin helping people with the skills he had gained for close to two decades in high-ticket sales.

Originally from Mississippi, April eventually moved to Dallas where she operates a variety of other businesses ranging from CBD to Football to community development through affordable housing growth.

“I started off as a teacher in Dallas. Then I began working for a couple of districts, but I became an assistant principal. I was a diagnostician where we diagnose or we test for certain types of disabilities like learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, we test for things and correct reports to diagnose kids with those types of disabilities in the school setting. So I did that for a while, which is how I got into vocational rehab. I was the coordinator of Disability Support Services at a local college, and I learned about vocational rehab. So in 2012, I opened ability solutions, and we’re a full service vocational rehab company,” April Watson said.

Together both Vincent and April Watson have extensive experience in the music industry. Whether it’s time on radio, connecting artists for features, A&R work, merchandising or placements online, this tandem of music executives has put Versatile Enterprises brand management work at the forefront of the music industry.

Some of the music videos that they have worked on include OTB Fastane’s My Bussin, Mobsquad Nard “Itz Dat” and Compton Menace’s “Put On” ft. Chris Brown. Most recently they have been putting in work for the viral sensation HD4President with his ons “City of Compton” ft. Compton Menace.

“I noticed that there are not a lot of people that look like me, to be honest with you, in the music and cannabis worlds. I don’t really feel like I’m at a place where I don’t feel comfortable, you know, like, I don’t have to title myself, you know, as a Black woman in this space, like, these are some of the most open minded people you’ll meet. And if you do good business for people, people deal with you,” April Watson said.

In addition to providing booking and brand management for the aforementioned artists, April Watson also has her hand in an online media company called Real Lyfe Street Starz where they interview and cover “Real Lyfe” issues and topics amongst the “Street Starz” of Hip-Hop community.

Johnny Serian is the founder and owner of a marketing agency known as Digital Diver 360. He is a versatile entrepreneur as he managed to turn an idea into a successful six-figure business. We talked to Serian to learn about his journey of turning an idea into an empire. 

Starting Out 

Serian was a competitive person from an early age. He always wanted to get better. Through rigorous piano lessons as a kid combined with daily track and field workouts from middle school to college, he built resilience and proved to himself that he could accomplish anything.

Serian’s passion for marketing grew as he worked for other companies through marketing school. After working for several companies, he left the corporate world and ventured into restaurants in need of social media presence. He was startled to discover that almost every single restaurant needed help with its social media presence. They had no social following, no website traffic, and no posting. This experience sparked an idea, and he chose to venture into marketing. 

Serian started his marketing agency to meet the need for such in the market. However, he points out that although companies realize the importance of having an online social presence, most of them are willing to pay someone else to do the work for them. 

Turning An Idea into an Empire 

Currently, Serian has managed to turn his business into one of New Jersey’s fastest-growing Marketing Agencies while being named the #1 content creation team in the Tri-State area by Disrupt Magazine. He has quickly built a reputation as a thought-leader in the space of marketing. He took a seed that is an idea and watered it into a tree that’s now a fully operational marketing agency. 

Serian has worked with dozens of clients, from small to large companies. Some of the leading companies he has worked with include Lithia, Paul Miller, Prestige, and Ray Catena. Furthermore, he has managed to build a team of wizards from around the globe who work together to take businesses to the next level. 

Serian has generated over $11,565,000 in ad revenue. He revamped an online Brand and generated over $85k in new sales in the second month. He also increased food & beverage services monthly sales by 205% to $300k, plus so much more. 

Serian points out that most people give up on their idea because they give up during the process. Everyone wants to win the prize and get the title of ‘champion,’ but no one is willing to go through the process. Yet, for your idea to become a reality, you must work for it. You need to put in the effort and refuse to give up. 

Challenges are inevitable in the path to success. Furthermore, the process is highly personal and can be financially or emotionally daunting. What sets you apart from other people who have ideas is consistency. Aim to create the best version of yourself and realize that the only competition is yourself. 

Serian saw a need for social media marketing for businesses and started his venture to help as many businesses as possible. In just one year after setting up his business, he helped over two dozen businesses. He saw a problem, built a solution around it, and it took off. You can also do the same. 

For Serian, greatness means inspiring others to inspire others. He points out that if you have a passion, you should let it guide you. Then, with consistency, you’ll be able to build your business from scratch to a six-figure empire.
