Dalton has played to the topmost levels in football that most people live to covet. He has also maintained his entrepreneurial culture, which he terms as innate. He has been an NFL free agent cornerback based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Most players focus on the game and forget on the future days when they will not be in the game. Dalton has managed to maintain both sectors concurrently. He is a clothing brand owner, real estate investor, and a brand ambassador. HE is blessed to have worked with Fashion Nova, SprayGround, Embellish, and Karter Collection.
Major Obstacles
One of the biggest obstacles that Dalton had to face was furthering his football career. When he was out of high school, he did not have good grades to go to division one. While studying, he thought it was not necessary; thus, he did not study appropriately. He realized that it could be important too late to make the adjustments. He was not serious until the last semester, and this led him to a junior college.
In his first year, during the second game in the season, he was suspended because of something that was out of his control. God gave him a second chance, and he got a chance to play his sophomore season, and after playing well, he was offered to play at a few division one schools.
In 2014, he graduated from Western Kentucky and began training for the NFL. “At that time, I pulled both hamstrings during a team workout that was another major setback. Most people pull one; I pulled both, so the recovery time was double. It was then when I realized that if I wanted to achieve the goals that I had for myself, I might need to go another route.”
He began the entrepreneurial journey, and he was starting businesses of which most failed or he ended up giving upon them. However, he was young and did not know anything better. But he did not lose hope. That was the beginning of his success because of all the business he was starting, some became successful.
Inspiration
Dalton has always hated a 9-5 job. He loves traveling, and he cannot endure someone telling him when to travel or not. That’s why he chose to focus on his dreams to live the life he wanted.
Current Projects
“My main focus is my clothing brand, Spade Blvd,” opened Dalton as he stated what his projects. “in the next few years, I’d like to be one of the top brands on the market. I have a few photo shoots coming up, which will be very fun.” Dalton said as he asked anyone interested in participating to message him via his IG handle @dpattofficial.
