What is the inspiration behind becoming an influencer? My inspiration behind becoming an influencer has always been the fact that I never saw a LatinX woman to look up to that looked like me, or that spoke like me, or even lived the same life experiences as me and openly expressed it. Some people would be ashamed to say half of the things I say and I’m not ashamed. I’m unapologetic and I think that alone is influential.
When did you first know you wanted to become creative and what was the point that really made you go for it? I first realized I wanted to become a creative was when I started producing and creatively directing the sets on many of my own photoshoots. I like to be in control too, so creating content gives me a sense of control, but also I knew I needed to create my own content to show casting directors the different versions of me. When I started my acting journey, I did not have a reel, so Creating content helped me build my actor’s reels.
What’s the best and what’s the hardest part about finding your passion? The best part about finding your passion is that you should feel a sense of fufillment, the worst part is, it takes a long time to paid.
What are some of your biggest fears that you faced when started in the entertainment industry? My biggest fear when I started in this industry was being taken advantage of. I have built this huge wall up. I don’t like it though. I have major trust issues because of the entertainment industry.
Where do you go or what do you do for inspiration when working on a new project? Some of the things I do for inspiration before working on a new project is, I go to my spiritual altar for inspiration, I go for walks. I love to people watch, I pray.
What advice can you give to aspiring artists? The advise that I have to aspiring artists, is ask yourself “What is your intention?” And start there. Once you know what your intentions are as far as your artistic career goes, things will then fall into place.
Thank you for sitting with us with any final thoughts? Some final thoughts are, if this is what you truly want, know that once you start you can never give up. And ad Nipsey would say, “It’s a marathon, it’s not a race.”
