“Wealthy College Kid helps people learn how to make an income from various platforms online, whether it be eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Amazon, Shopify and more with little to no money needed to start.”

Impressive. And how important would you say social media is to your brand?

“Social Media is the bread and butter to my business model. It’s how I first got my message out by going live weekly with only 2 viewers to now tons, it’s how I run ads to scale businesses to multiple figures, and it all lies within the frame that Wealthy College Kid students learn to sustain and run theirs.”

There is no doubting that Christianna has come a long way. Already in her third year of business, she has amassed no less than 50 million views on her videos, as well as roughly 160K online followers, out of which about a quarter certified (and successful) students.

“The biggest misconception about my industry is that you don’t have to actually work hard to get your desired results. A lot of people sign up for my courses and are surprised when they have to actually retain and apply information learned to whichever platform they’re selling on. I sacrificed my social life, sleepless nights and much more to be in the spot I am in today and still do those same things when it’s necessary for my business.”

And that is what Rai’jona Crear, the 27 year old Connecticut native is giving her customers. The UCONN graduate has recently created a lifestyle brand that reminds everyone who wears her apparel that they are “HAWT SHXT”. She sat down with us to talk about her journey in the nearly $4 trillion USD E-commerce industry, where she’s managed to sell over 2000 units in a short period of time by reassuring people of their worth.

What made you choose the name Hawt Shxt

Actually, the name chose me. For a long time, my cousin called me hot shit in an effort to make fun of me in a playful way. After a while, it just stuck. I eventually made @Hawtshxt my social media handle & people naturally began to call me it as well. It became my moniker.

Tell us about the brand. When did you decide to create this lifestyle company

Hawt shxt is a brand that encompasses  self love, and the spreading of positive vibes. It was created after realizing that my purpose has always been the same– to always push the notion of being yourself, helping others, and staying genuine. in 2018, I launched HAWT shxt, It was created with intentions of encouraging self-love & acceptance and living life to the fullest. reclaiming self confidence is the new initiative that the brand has since relaunched with.

the brand highlights the importance of preserving what makes you happy. What started as just limited tees capturing dope moments from my lifestyle, has grown into a full apparel company, complete with branded- streetwear and athleisure peices, including socks, leggings, hoodies & bags. 

 

How many E-commerce sales did you make your first release

 

 I made over 50 sales overnight selling t shirts I had barely thought of designing.  

What’s the mission of your company 

 

The mission is to encourage self love and confidence.

Is HAWT SHXT only for women?

Hawt shxt is all inclusive, apparel for men, women and children interested in edgy comfortable wear.  

Where do you see yourself in 5 years 

 

I see myself as a proud, successful entrepreneur working on more ways to impact my community and the world at large. I will be the first millionaire in my family and I will use my platforms to achieve that goal. 

what are some obstacles as a new face in the growing apparel industry

 

The obstacles that I currently face in my industry is the necessity to stay in the loop. For instance The fashion and creative industry is always changing, so its a must that I know the trends and events going on in the industry to stay ahead of the curve. 

 There is also always the obstacle of finding and maintaining great relationships with vendors, customers, and always staying engaged with the target demographic.

 

Give young entrepreneurs a tip on becoming successful in business

 

do what you want. Do not let someone else’s vision or ideas of what they think you should be change your passion. In other words, do not get boxed in! It’s okay for you to want to do things your way.
