We know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that any and every artist out there talks about making a legacy and a name for themselves, so what should set this one woman apart? What makes Dyna Edyne so special? Well, first of all, that’s a bit of a long answer. A lot of things set Edyne apart. She’s humble and grounded. She’s connected to her roots, but easily relatable. She’s clever and she’s determined. She’s funny and she’s talented. She’s not afraid to lay her soul bare for you, or anyone else to hear. And those are just a few things off the top of our head. 

But the reason this quote, and indeed, the artist herself, resonate with us is that she managed to capture so well what it means to be an artist. It’s not about the money or the fame, it’s about inspiring others. And if there’s one thing that Dyna Edyne is, she’s all about inspiration. This resilient, yet gentle musician uses her music (as well as the visual cues from the music videos) to connect with listeners all across the Earth and inspire them. 

Her brand-new release, “I Don’t Work for You”, is a heartfelt tribute to a relationship that no longer works. It’s a beautiful goodbye letter that doesn’t mourn, but rather celebrates the empowering feeling of leaving behind that which no longer serves. It’s a song about breaking free. And since we all need to break free from something, we think this song is another inspiration. 

And seeing Dyna Edyne has such a way of inspiring other people, we couldn’t help but wonder… what would she say to her listeners? Of course, as an artist, she speaks to them through each and every release. But not directly, or at least, not in the way we mean. As artists, we rarely have the opportunity to address fans directly, so we took advantage of the moment we had with Dyna Edyne to hear what she had to say to her followers.

“To keep going! keep exposing your talents to new people, new venues, new events whatever it takes just put your art out there and do it in your own unique way. “

And you can rest assured those are not just empty words, because Edyne focuses on inspiring her followers through her own example. By putting herself out there as an artist, through her music, she calls out to you, reminding you that you could do better. And that’s what her legacy will be, we feel. One of inspiration, and of course, talent.
