RADIUS is a brand-new independently owned and operated music venue coming to Chicago in early 2020. The 55,000 square foot multipurpose event space, primarily focused on music, has a capacity ranging from 2,500 to 3,800 people. The venue is equipped with a state-of-the-art D&B KSL sound system, exceptional acoustics, a mezzanine level to host VIP guests/packages, lavish artist lounges, a spacious outdoor smoking section, and nine full-service bars where guests can indulge in craft beers and specialized cocktails.

The first set of shows at RADIUS include electronic music producer Dillon Francis, international house and techno legend Carl Cox, future house producer Tchami, American hip-hop artist Lil Wayne, metalcore band Killswitch Engage with August Burns Red and Light The Torch, punk rock bands Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion, and Austrailan psych-rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Dates with ticket links are below through official ticketing partner AXS. Stay tuned for more announcements to come soon.

Previously an old steel factory, the building—located at 640 Cermak Rd., Chicago, IL 60616–has been transformed into a modern artistic space focused on providing an elevated experience for all music lovers, local and international alike. The surrounding Pilsen neighborhood, which was recently ranked as one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world by Time Out, is known for showcasing some of the best, brightest and most brilliant murals around Chicago. RADIUS fits right into the mix by showcasing three distinct murals created by Lefty Out ThereThank You X and NYCHOS.

RADIUS owner and operator Nick Karounos has been involved in live music events and nightlife in Chicago for the past 20 years. Karounos has played a major part in the Chicago music scene as an owner and operator of Concord Music Hall, the MID, and PRYSM Nightclub. Karounos saw the need for a large space that was built specifically for live events and close to the downtown area:

“We were looking for a scalable, multi-purpose venue space to house a state-of-the-art concert facility with modern art and design elements at the forefront, and we’ve created it with RADIUS,” states Nick Karounos.  “This project has been 4 years in the making and we are beyond excited to show Chicago and the rest of the world what we have built for music lovers of all genres.”

Within RADIUS is Cermak Hall, a 10,000 square foot multi-purpose event space featuring its own entrance, a full bar and an additional stage. Cermak Hall will be used as a pre and post-event space with food and drink options allowing guests to enhance their experience. The space will also cater to numerous amounts of programming including weddings, conventions, corporate/private events and more.

RADIUS is located in Chicago’s East Pilsen neighborhood just south of The Loop bordering Chinatown with easy access off I-90/94. There will be a rideshare friendly pick up zone and a variety of parking options. RADIUS is easily accessible via various forms of public transportation, including the Halsted 8 Bus, Cermak 21 Bus, Orange/Red/Green lines.
