LUCCA SAVI‘s latest track “Camel Toe” featuring Kartel Montana is officially out on all platforms and is the upbeat anthem that audiences have been anticipating from the artist. LUCCA SAVI dropped the track on New Year’s day, starting off 2021 right with high energy and giving audiences something to look forward to.
The Brazilian artist moved to the US to pursue his music career in hopes of brining something new to the culture. The response to his music so far has been amazing, he says, and his passion for music, hip-hop culture mixed with reggaeton is evident throughout his music.
When asked about how he got started in his journey, LUCCA SAVI says that he started as a beat maker/producer back in 2009/2010.
“I used to be part of a rap duo that I created with my friend. It was called 13ML,” he said. “I was the DJ, producer, and also vocalist sometimes. Djing was something that I always loved to watch, so it came along after I realized that I could be an artist, produce my own music, and play for crowds — just like my idols and inspirations were doing it. So, in 2015, I moved to Miami to pursue my career once for all.”
The artist, who is currently signed to On Mars Management, is inspired by many icons in the industry including “Major Lazer, Diplo, DJ Snake, David Guetta, Tropkillaz (DJ duo from Brazil), Anitta, Mr. Catra, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Kanye West, Drake, Tyga, and Jason Derulo.”
“They definitely influence the whole process,” he stated. “I would compare my sound with Major Lazer, Tropkillaz and DJ Snake, especially because they have one thing in common: They like to explore different sounds from other cultures and subcultures. They put them together as one.”
As far as his latest single that dropped, LUCCA SAVI says it’s about representing the Brazilian Baile funk culture and mixing it with Miami’s vibe and lifestyle.
