Virgina’s very own Dre-Ski is here to remind us once again that he is the epitome of Hip-Hop and Rap music. Not only does he write his own lyrics, has engineered some of his music in the past and gains inspiration from his surroundings, his past experiences, and those around him.
In his most recent release “Slide,” Dre-Ski gets ready for a night out on the town. The 4 minute and 19 second visual takes Dre-Skis listeners on a journey and he states “But I got to get it steady focused on a mission, I know I did some wrong but I’m praying for forgiveness.” Not only is he trying to improve and become a better version of himself, but he shares his story with us in a real and presentable manner.
When asked who inspires his sound, Dre-Ski responded “I am truly inspired by Jay-Z, J Cole, Fabolous, Pusha-T and various artist from the South to include Ace Hood and Moneybag-Yo.”
What makes Dre-Ski stand out from other artists out there is his lyrical abilities and the fact that he is very versatile. Meaning, he can adapt to any song or beat. In addition to releasing the visual “Slide,” Dre-Ski is working on his next EP “Turning Point” which is set to drop very soon.
