Billboard Latin Music Week, the ultimate celebration of Latin music, culture, and entertainment, kicked off at the Faena Forum in Miami and continues throughout the week until Saturday, Oct. 1. The first day of the sold-out event, was jam-packed with exclusive panels, workshops, and activations spotlighting Latin’s top hitmakers, influencers, and industry leaders. Featured panels included: Beyond Bad Bunny – What Can Non-Reggaeton Latin Music Learn From Other Global Genres? Presented by Luminate, How I Wrote That Song With The Producers Presented By BMI, 5 Ways To Make Money From Your Music, Latin Touring Goes International Presented by Live Nation, and more!
Earlier this morning at the conference, Billboard announced its commitment to supporting disaster relief and recovery efforts for those affected by Hurricane Fiona and will be supporting the American Red Cross with a donation using proceeds from Billboard Latin Week (RedCross.org/Billboard). Additionally, Billboard Latin Music Week brand partner AT&T is a long-standing partner of the Hispanic Federation (HF), who leads as a national model on Latino issues of social, political, and economic empowerment. HF works to uplift millions of Hispanic children, youth, and families across the country. AT&T is making a $30k contribution to the Hispanic Federation in support of Hurricane Fiona relief and recovery efforts. The festivities will continue tomorrow with an intimate Premiere Party hosted by Christina Aguilera, Superstar Q&As with Camilo and Romeo Santos, a once-in-a-lifetime conversation with The Children of Jenni Rivera, Billboard’s legendary Women On The Rise panel, a special screening of a behind-the-scenes capture of Eden Muñoz’s Amazon Original Tribute recording to Jenni Rivera, and more. Camilo will also return later that evening to headline the Billboard En Vivo concert presented by Burger King at Oasis. Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and Billboard On The Radar Artist, GALE, will open the show.
