Meet Charles Knoppel, a 2002 Toms River North (NJ) graduate, who found motivation through personal experiences, particularly with a god-daughter who has Downs Syndrome. This connection ignited a passion for assisting individuals facing various challenges. The educational journey led Charles to the University of South Florida, where a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education was obtained. Post-graduation, enrollment in the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate program which set the stage for becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

This journey exemplifies the fusion of personal passion and professional expertise in the realm of ABA therapy. The commitment to helping families, coupled with a deep understanding of family dynamics, creates a powerful force for positive change. The message is clear: early intervention and a genuine commitment to progress can pave the way for a brighter future for children in need.

It is clear that Mr. Knoppel takes his career serious and is in no doubt proud about helping others. It is the main reason why he stood up and left a secure job to start his own business ” Innovative ABA. Charles started this business with families in need in mind. Being in the ABA field for as long as he has been, he noticed a lot of companies main focus is billable hours and money, rather than genuinely caring and help guide families and children. With his business up and running for just a short amount of time, the impact Innovative ABA has been making has been the talk of the industry within the local markets.

Get to know Charles slightly better with this short Q&A:

Question: How does having your own family help you prepare to help other families in need of your services?

Answer: I once had a professor who said that you don’t really understand how to help families until you have kids of your own. This didn’t initially resonate with me until I actually started my own family. The beauty about ABA is that you can easily integrate it into your every day life with your own children. Having children of my own has helped to allow me to better understand family dynamics and has allowed me to have more empathy with struggling parents.

Question: What would be your message to the world about therapy services?

Answer: My message would be to start services as early as possible. Research has shown that the earlier children begin services, the much better chance they have to function independently and learn the necessary skills needed to live happy and fulfilling lives.

Question: What is a big misconception about your career field?

Answer: A big misconception about ABA is that we simply “get rid of unwanted behaviors”. While that is important, it is impossible to decrease inappropriate behavior without increasing more appropriate skills. When implemented correctly, ABA is able to help give children many new skills that you currently don’t have in their repertoire.

Question: what are a few key points you would say to some one researching therapy and why you think it really could help them?

Answer: I would highly suggest that you reach out to several local companies providing the services that your child needs. The fit has to be right. Speak with the people running those companies to make sure that your values align. This is an important decision for a family and your child will be spending a lot of time with the staff members on his team. Unfortunately, there are companies in this field that are concerned more about billable hours and money than they are about the progress of their children. Innovative ABA was started to provide families with ABA therapy that is solely focused on the progress of the children we work with.

Question: what are your favorite hobbies?

Answer: I love spending time with my family. I have a beautiful fiancée, Jackie who I met in college. We have a 9 year old son and a 2 year old daughter, who I spent most of my time with outside of work. When I do get the chance to do something on my own, I enjoy golfing and watching football (Go Dolphins!).

Ot The Real didn’t have an easy road to success. There were a lot of ups and downs and set backs. Having that no matter what mentality is what gave him the will do be what he was destined to be, a great entertainer and lyricist. OT has captured the ears of all of the industry heavy hitters. You can Google his name and catch him on major platforms speaking about his life and spitting some of the illest freestyles. You can feel the conviction in his tone through the speakers. He truly breathes hip hop and we need more of that in todays industry.

OT has been using his experiences and smarts to navigate through the music world. He continuously turns heads and is the talk of the town. It’s his raw unfiltered style that have people gravitating towards his music. He is putting in the time and that work which doesn’t go unnoticed.

“No Matter What” has great features such has Chris Webby, Tsu Surf, Bby Hndrxx, Ohdatsrida, ILL B1ll and SKNJ. The song selection flew seamlessly throughout the album and was really fun to listen to. Lyricism still exists and OT The Real along with the featured artist made sure to let it be known all while dropping a lot of jewels. It is definitely an album you can listen straight through without skipping a single track. You will most likely catch yourself hitting the playback button.

This album is filled with stories that the artist is able to communicate with his audience, you can literally visualize what he is rapping about and I wouldn’t expect anything less from OT. The energy he brings to each and every track is extremely powerful and recognized. He continues to speak his truth and he puts on for his city. in 2020 Ms. Lopez started True to The Culture Podcast. A very well put together cast that creates great content. The podcast touches on everyday life, what’s going on in the world and well about the culture, any culture that is. What struck me the most is that she throws an annual BBQ for her community. Bringing all types of people together for a good time and to network with whomever attends. It is a beautiful sight to see and she puts it all together.

Jade Lopez created a great opportunity for herself when she was hired to be a Legislative Assistant intern for United States House of Representatives Congressman Donald Norcross. Her experience while serving in the United Stated Army was exceptionally fitting for her to be able to handle such a position. We all know being an intern can be hectic and extremely difficult. She handled her tasks with grace and confidence. The way she executed that opportunity turned into an even bigger opportunity. Hard work, dedication and being intelligent is what put her in position to do everything and anything she has ever desired. 

Taking the digital platforms and making them her office is exactly what she did. Being hired at a private non profit organization to be their Social Media and project manager. Being creative is what she thrives at. You have to be courageous and fearless to create something out of thin air. I know being in charge of social media accounts can be stressful. You have the creative freedom but also have to please the company’s vision as well. I know for a fact that the skills she learned in the military and that of just everyday life is what keeps her head on a swivel and always think 5 steps ahead.

The Private Non Profit tasked Jade with putting together an event for Spanish Heritage Month. I had the pleasure of attending her event. It was fun and exciting. She was able to get numerous businesses to vendor the event. From food trucks, live music, radio stations, influencers and also had the Mayor of Camden City and others members of the council come out. It was an exciting event and can’t wait to cover the next. I am certain with her being well prepared and organized is what helped her exceed her own expectations for the night.

She has helped numerous businesses already through her hard work and knowledge of social media algorithms and trends. “All Things True Social Media Firm” will manage your media account, will create content along with breaking down market and competitive trends giving you the best analysis.
