A Sit Down with Media Mogul DJ First Class

We recently had the immense pleasure of sitting down with Chicago’s own media mogul Jabari Carter also known as DJ First Class. First Class is heavily involved in the music industry, but under the many titles First Class possesses, one of his most profound titles is being a Music Writer for Revolt TV  and iLLANOiZE. He realized he had a hidden talent for music-writing after going to college at Western Illinois University. The Media Mogul started off writing for Respect Magazine in 2017 and has not looked back since.

First Class has made leaps and bounds since his Respect Magazine days, one of the biggest accomplishments we noticed was that he recently sat down with rap legend Curren$y. He had this to say about the unreal experience

“The shit was unreal actually, it’s crazy. Spitta has been one of my favorite rappers for yeaaarrsssss now and for me to connect with him the way I did was insane to me. I’ve resonated with a lot of his lyrics over the years and some of them even saved my life. What made it even better was that I did it all on my own and it was organic. He was very comfortable chopping it up with me.”

We have to say we admire First Class major improvements over the years…but when someone puts the work in as hard as he does, amazing results are bound to happen.

Even with First Class hands in so many things, he still finds time to expand and network not only for himself but also for his brand. Most recently, The Media Mogul  took his talents to the gaming world as Head of Marketing for a gaming streaming company Gamerized which is located in Jasper, Indiana. First Class is still very well connected to his hometown Chicago where he is also signed to a record label (Billionaire Minds Build Brands) for Marketing and PR services.

As you can see DJ First Class does a lot of different things and seems to always have a busy schedule. We wanted to ask the Media Mogul, how does he balance everything and still perform with high efficiency? This was his response to how he uses his time…

“It definitely can sometimes. But I’ve embedded in the back of my mind that taking breaks when attacking multiple tasks is vital. It prevents stress. I’ll have a beer or glass of wine with music playing in the background to have me vibing as I work. This definitely helps me stay on track. Also, when I take breaks, I make sure I’m nowhere near my laptop or my phone. I turn on Netflix or step outside for a while to unwind and get back to it.”

First Class is now years into his media position and has experienced many things while on his way to the success he has today. From starting his journey in 2017, DJ First Class has stayed on course and continued to elevate not only himself but also his craft. He had this to say when asked to give some advice for any potential viewers that are looking to get started in this field…

“Stay persistent.

– When one door closes, OPEN ANOTHER ONE.

– Study the styles of other great writers to see how you could improve.

– Be authentic at all times.

– Writer’s block happens to the best of us, find what makes YOU overcome it.”

It is obvious Jabari is here to stay and we can’t wait to see what he has in-store for his audience of the future.
